Trevor Terry Economic Policy Officer with the Nederlands Consulaat Generaal in Chicago who is based in Kentucky, joined Consortium members in The Hague, Bleiswijk and the dynamic Westland area for a series of discussions on the ecosystem development efforts in the Appalachian region.
This week’s discussions with our Dutch Let’s Grow Together Consortium members have affirmed a shared vision for Controlled Environment Agriculture’s potential in the US. Recognizing the commercial opportunities, we’re united in addressing the pressing need for advanced horticultural knowledge and business acumen to sustain industry growth in the region. Investment in grower talent and local institutional partnerships are key as the Appalachian CEA ecosystem evolves and, with 30 member organizations, the Kentucky-Netherlands Consortium represents a group of dedicated leaders coming together to build capacity in this vital market for Dutch businesses.
